04-21-2026 PART 3: Living Hope Through New Birth and Resurrection

Section 1

It begins with a powerful truth: through His great mercy, God has given us new birth into a living hope. This hope is not empty or distant—it is alive, active, and rooted in who God is. Hope, in its simplest form, is believing that something better is coming, yet many people live without that expectation, simply trying to survive without direction or purpose. For those in Christ, hope is not tied to circumstances but anchored in something unshakable, much like an anchor holding a ship steady in rough waters. Instead of being driven by fear or pressure, there is confidence that God remains in control and His promises remain true. This hope also stretches forward, pointing to a future where sorrow, pain, and sin are completely removed, and where God makes all things new—not repaired, but entirely renewed—and that promise brings strength into the present moment.

Section 2

At the same time, this living hope is not only about the future—it is meant to function right now. When Jesus is brought into any situation, even the most difficult circumstances can begin to shift, because hope comes alive through a relationship with the living God, not through rules or religion. Still, many people—even believers—fail to operate in that hope, allowing circumstances to feel bigger than God despite the truth that He causes all things to work together for good. When something feels hopeless, the answer is not withdrawal but surrender, placing that situation into the hands of the God of hope. Those who have encountered Him now carry a deeper assurance, knowing that because they have experienced Him in this life, they will see Him in the next, and that certainty transforms how they live, replacing uncertainty with expectation and strengthening their perspective in every situation.

Section 3

At the very core of this living hope stands the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Without it, there is no foundation for faith, no assurance of eternal life, and no lasting hope at all, but because He rose, everything He taught is confirmed and His authority over life and death is established. Death is no longer the end, and there is a coming moment when every person will stand before God and eternity will be fully revealed. Those who belong to Him will enter into everlasting life, while others will face the consequences of rejection, making this reality both sobering and urgent. Everything ultimately points back to Jesus, because He alone is the way, the truth, and the life, and through Him immortality has been brought into the light. The hope believers carry is not wishful thinking—it is grounded in a risen Savior, and because He lives, that hope is secure, unchanging, and eternal.

David Spoon

David Spoon was born and raised in a Jewish home in Detroit, Michigan. He attended a private Hebrew school called Hillel Hebrew Academy. David was bar mitzvah-ed at the age of thirteen. Not long after, he was involved in drug abuse and trafficking. After hearing the Gospel for the first time at age seventeen, David accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. A few months later, David had a dramatic experience with God. Immediately set free from years of excessive drug use, he committed himself to ministry and to furthering the Kingdom of God.

He attended Arizona Bible College, Northern Arizona University, and Life Pacific College, graduating summa-cum-laude in their Ministry and Leadership program. He also graduated with honors from Regent University with a master’s degree in Theological Studies and earned his Doctor of Ministry degree in Strategic Christian Ministry at Liberty University.

He is one of a few individuals holding ministerial ordinations from three separate denominations: Heritage Free Baptist Organization, 1981; Independent Pentecostal Ministers Association, 1985; and Vineyard Valley Association, 1988. He was also the Chaplain for the Flagstaff Police Department. In addition, David was the senior pastor of Vineyard Christian Fellowship of Flagstaff.

In addition, David started and co-hosted two different live Christian call-in radio talk shows. He hosted the very popular radio show “The David Spoon Experience” on KPRZ 1210 and a show called “To Know Him,” which aired on 88.9 on the F.M. dial-in Temecula, California at 1:00 p.m., Monday through Fridays. He was also the Director of Local Ministry for Salem Media Group in San Diego, California.

David is married to his best friend, Noelle. He has three children and seven grandchildren, plus their two dogs named Levi and Bert. On March 18th, 2019, he started “The David Spoon Experience” in Texas and is growing with his audience of awesome believers and non-believers alike.

He is the President of He Must Increase Ministry, a 501c3 ministry, and is hosting (again) the live daily radio show “The David Spoon Experience” with DJR Broadcasting in KAAM, on the 770 A.M. radio dial. The show is also on various apps and the Internet.

David is a Jewish-Christian, Bapti-Costal, Cal-Minian, Manifold Millennialist.
